Having grown up in the Locilento wine making family, Marco is no stranger to passion for the craft. And now after having learned the trade passed down from generation to generation and tended to the process after honing his skills from the vineyards of Niagara to the barrel aging of great vintages from Cilento Wines, he is pleased and proud to carry on the Locilento family tradition. Marco manages and oversees all the wine making for our corporate Scarborough location.
The retail concept of selling imported grape juice for home winemaking originated with Vin Bon. Before Vin Bon came on the scene, Canadians wanting to make wine at home bought grapes, squeezed them to extract the juice, and then strained out the solids – even before starting to make wine. Now, with Vin Bon, home wine creations have become easier and less time-consuming resulting in vastly superior wines by buying only the fresh juice. Vin Bon has a state of the art faculty with winery grade equipment that allows our winemakers to craft a personal batch of wine specifically for you!
Just finished our first batch of wine and after taking an early sample the wine is already exceeding expectations. We will definitely be back to make another batch before we finish this one. Everyone there was also very helpful and made the whole experience very simple and pleasant.Sean F
We had a great experience with Vin Bon Scarborough. We made two types of wine, added speciality labels and "BAM" wonderful Christmas gifts for everyone! Took several bottles back to Montreal for Christmas dinner and what a hit! Thank you to the gentlemen in the bottling room and Marco for his hospitality!Theresa LFacebook Review
What helpful staff! The bottling process went smoothly and surprisingly fast, and the red wine that I paid to upgrade to the highest quality was well worth it! I would recommend this experience to anyone!Kristen AFacebook Review
